Adam Lambert really wasn't saying too much today when we caught up with outside his NY hotel following his controversial appearance at the AMAs in Los Angeles.

Adam was more than happy to wave and smile for our cameras but he didn't want to talk about his risque antics.

Frankly, we don't quite know what all the fuss is about. Wasn't he just having fun kissing and whipping anyone who came near him??

   

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons, letting slip what most of America already suspected, that Adam Lambert is gay.

“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet],” she said on The View this morning.

“I think he was always openly out. I never thought he wasn’t.”

When asked by Barbara Walters if the rumors surrounding his sexuality may have influenced voters, Kara said, “Well, first of all, I hope not … because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Adam and winner Kris Allen] had that.”

Let's just wait for Adam to make an official announcement on if he's gay or not...like it's any of our business anyway.

American Idol  finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert have been doing the whole promotional tour trying to kick-start their new singing careers in New York this week.

And when they got up close and personal for the cameras, you can see the difference in stature.

Adam towers over titchy Kris...and we suspect this is just how their respective careers will pan out.

Kris has a nice voice, but we're sure obscurity beckons for him, whereas Adam will go on to rock the rock world.

He rocked it on this year's American Idol, but has crazy crooner Adam Lambert got what it takes to fill the boots of the late great rocker, Freddie Mercury?

Well, if the rumors and gossip blog tittle-tattle is to be believed, Adam could soon be hitting the high notes with Queen.

Not sure how believable any of this talk really is, but if he pulls this one off, it will probably go down as one of music's greatest stories of rocketing from nowhere to stardom literally overnight.

So a record-breaking 100 million people cast their votes to pick the winner of season eight of American Idol last night.

But do you genuinely feel that squeaky clean Kris Allen can belt out a tune better than Adam Lambert?

If the gossip blogs are to be believed, that fact that Adam is rumored to be gay didn't do his cause any good and it's a major reason why Kris stole the crown.

However,  what are the odds Kris now pretty much disappears into relative obscurity while Adam goes on to make it big Kelly Clarkson-style.
