AMY POEHLER AND WILL ARNETT WELCOME A BABY BOY!

Amy Poehler gave birth to a baby boy Sunday night.  Amy and husband Will Arnett welcomed a baby boy named Archie.

The Saturday Night Live actress was actually supposed to appear on Saturday's show but due to her Baby Mama status she couldn't make it and old friend Maya Rudolph sang her a song at the end of Weekend Update.

Sadly, Amy will not be returning to SNL, however, we can remember the good times!  Check out Amy as Britney Spears (post K-Fed divorce below).

AMY POEHLER SAYS ADIOS TO SNL

After eight seasons on Saturday Night Live, Amy Poehler is biding farewell to the late-night sketch comedy show.  "It's gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday," she says. "SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down."

Amy told Men's Vogue that she will leave after the November election in preparation for the arrival of her baby with husband Will Arnett and will not return.

Thankfully though, we won't lose Amy entirely from the small-screen.  Amy will be part of The Office spin off set to debut next January.  "I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show," she said in July. "I don't really have any other details yet."

TIMELESS ENTERTAINERS ARE HONORED AT THE LINCOLN CENTER

Time Magazine recently released its fifth annual 100 Most Influential People list.  The list sets out to honor world leaders, innovators and also entertainers.  Among the guests at last night's ceremony held at the Lincoln Center in New York City were comedy writers Lorne Michael (who was accompanied by several SNL cast members), Tyler Perry and Judd Apatow.  The Time entries weren't written by a reporter, but rather by the peers and comrades of the honoree.  You can read the entire list and the accompanying articles here

AMY DAZZLES AT LETTERMAN

AMY DAZZLES AT LETTERMAN

Can I just briefly admit my profound love and admiration for Amy Poehler? She is an actress, writer and above all one of the funniest women alive!  Major girl crush material.  Amy taped an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman yesterday looking truly gorgeous in a black, chiffon dress.  She was on hand to promote her new movie Baby Mama (co-staring the genius Tina Fey) along with fellow SNLer Bill Hader and Jason Segel who were there to promote their own Apatow future classic, Forgetting Sarah Marshall
