We should be used to it by now...give up?  Leighton Meester, of course!  Leighton basically told us we could kiss her ass as she buried her face into her body guard on the set of Gossip Girl today.  Luckily Blake and Ed were a little bit less shy and gave us a preview of some of the great style we can expect next season; only two weeks away!

          

The weather was crazy in New York yesterday.  The sky went from blue to black to blue to black and finally back to a sunny sky by the end of the day, but the hail and strong wind weren't enough to stop the cast of Gossip Girl from going to work!  Ed, Penn, Leighton and Blake were all busy on set yesterday, filming scenes and hiding under umbrellas when they got a chance.  Are y'all excited for the the season premiere, less than a month away!

             

I used to think when we saw Ed Westwick on the set of Gossip Girl that he was always in wardrobe.  I chalked up his flamboyant wardrobe to his character Chuck Bass; I could be wrong.  We spotted Ed arriving at JFK airport last night, fresh from the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles and his outfit was a little Chuck-esque.  The messy hair, the maroon pants...I dunno Ed.  Of course we have to remember that Ed is in a band, The Filthy Youth, and boys in rock and roll bands do have a tendency to dress a little silly.

    

Each summer Fox holds one of the most prestigious award shows in all of Hollywood; The Teen Choice Awards.  Nominees are in tight competition in categories like like Choice TV Villain and Choice Female Hottie for the coveted award of a surf board.
Everyone who's anyone was at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles last evening eagerly and anxiously awaiting to see just who was going to take home a surf board.  Not surprisingly most of the cast of Gossip Girl walked away with an award as well as the show's host Miley Cyrus who won Choice TV Actress Comedy for Hanna Montana.  To see a complete list of winners click here.  The show will air tonight on Fox at 8pm.  Click through the gallery to see the mostly hits and some misses of last night's red carpet fashion.  (Ed Westwick, what were you thinking with that scarf?!)

           

We spotted Ed Westwick indulging himself with some treats from the snack table on the set of Gossip Girl this afternoon.  It looks like the costume designers were channeling Chuck Bass' inner Prince because he has on a LOT of purple! (Do you think he smells like lavender too?)

     

The gals in slacks are back! Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Amber Tamblyn were all on hand last night for the NYC premiere of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.  The ladies rocked some um, interesting choices for the red carpet.  I was not a fan of Amber's elephant gray jumpsuit nor did I like Alexis's slicked back hair, pink lip stick and frilly, black mini dress-it was a little too Robert Palmer back up dancer for me.  I think the stand out of the evening was America, who looked gorgeous in a strapless blue frock and half up swept hair.

The cast was joined by Blake's Gossip Girl co-stars Leighton, Chace and Ed although Penn was noticeably absent (dis!) and Ali Lohan, who's making the rounds in Manhattan.

When we last saw the girls they were gathered together trying to sort out their summer of magical Levis.  We catch up with them a few years later as they've moved on to college, with new loves, new adventures but the same old pair of jeans.  Check out the trailer here.

         

Or should I say Gossip lady?  Actress Madchen Amick (pictured in the printed dress that almost blew away) is joining the cast of Gossip Girl.  I'm not exactly sure who'll she be playing, but since Madchen is a bit more "mature" if you will, I'm thinking she might be a girlfriend of Rufus, a mother to Vanessa or maybe even a teacher at the prep school.

It was a celeb studded red carpet last night as The Dark Knight premiered in New York City.  Christian Bale (Batman) and co-stars, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman were all on hand to promote their new film.  Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick were all there to catch new the Batman as well as reality star Lauren Conrad who seems to be on a different coast every day.  The Dark Knight opens in theaters on Friday but to check out a trailer click here.

         

Spotted: B and C strolling around a small town.  They were on opposite sides of the street but that doesn't mean they weren't together.
Will Blair and Chuck's romance extend through the summer? Leighton and Ed were filming scenes in New York yesterday, both rocking long shorts and loafers...I'm not sure if I support that look. Leighton also seems to be playing the "no pictures" card; uh oh, looks like Blair is spilling over into real life!

      

Happy Independence Day blog fans!  July 4, is the day we set aside each year to commemorate when we won our independence from England way back in 1776, U-S-A!

But besides celebrating our freedom we can also celebrate the other things that make this country great, like celebrities.  What would our society be today with out Paris, LiLo, Brit Brit, Heidi and all the other reality whores, I mean uber talented stars? Shows like Gossip Girl and songs like Lollipop are woven into the fabric of this great nation. 

So tomorrow afternoon when you're snacking on a hot dog, popping open a PBR or watching the fireworks with a loved one, think about your favorite celeb...sure, "talent" may be a term to use loosely this day in age, but what the hell else would you do all day at work if you didn't have these fools to look at?!
