It was an evening of whirlwind romance for Gerard Butler and a mystery lady last night.  The actor was spotted out on a date at Santa Monica piers in California.  He and Madame X played a round of air hockey and it looks like they won big, judging by all those yellow tickets they've got.  I'm hoping he treated the lady to a giant purple ring and a panda bear on a stick. 

    

Is this a new couple I see before my eyes?!  Last night we caught Gerard Butler and Shanna Moakler getting quite close at a table at the opening of Gerard's new restaurant Shin in Hollywood last night.

Sort of an odd pairing, especially since Shanna has supposedly been at her ex-husband's bedside (a claim which the injured Travis Barker denies).  Once Shanna left the club, it seems like she wanted to pretend it didn't happen as she left out a side door and hid herself in the backseat of her car. 

What do you guys think, is it a fling or the real thing?

       

It's time for Comic Con; that special time of year when thousands of nerds invade southern California in the name of all things, sci-fi, action and of course, comic books.  Making a stop at this year's convention were Guy Ritchie and Gerard Butler with their new movie RocknRolla. Like the rest of Ritchie's films RocknRolla is set in the London underworld when a stolen painting pits some of  the city's scrappiest tough guys (Butler) against its more established players.  Check out the trailer here and look for RocknRolla in movie theaters this fall.

    

We spotted ladies man Gerard Butler on the set of his new project, The Ugly Truth.  Gerard has recently been linked with everyone from Cameron Diaz to Cheryl Burke although Burke would not qualify the rumors on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.  “You know, honestly he’s good friends with Cristian [her dance partner] and his wife — and we met through them. He actually lives in my apartment building, and we’ve been friends for a few months.” Ryan went on to question her about a rumored kiss in public, she responded by saying, “You know, everyone says hello and says goodbye and kisses each other. Don’t you, Ryan?”
Well either they are an item or Cheryl just wants the press; I wouldn't be surprised either way!
