Happy Independence Day blog fans!  July 4, is the day we set aside each year to commemorate when we won our independence from England way back in 1776, U-S-A!

But besides celebrating our freedom we can also celebrate the other things that make this country great, like celebrities.  What would our society be today with out Paris, LiLo, Brit Brit, Heidi and all the other reality whores, I mean uber talented stars? Shows like Gossip Girl and songs like Lollipop are woven into the fabric of this great nation. 

So tomorrow afternoon when you're snacking on a hot dog, popping open a PBR or watching the fireworks with a loved one, think about your favorite celeb...sure, "talent" may be a term to use loosely this day in age, but what the hell else would you do all day at work if you didn't have these fools to look at?!

Spencer and Heidi stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night.  Spencer was actually taping an episode with Dave, although I'm not sure exactly what he was there to promote since The Hills are on hiatus, other than talking shit on Lauren.  I, like most people, used to be on team on LC (thinking Spencer was a maniac and that Heidi was spineless) but as time goes on, I'm actually starting to favor Speidi!  Lauren (and her new partner in crime Lo) seem to continuously loose friends while Speidi seems to be gettin' by just fine with their shameless self promotion.  Lauren seems to take herself really seriously while Speidi don't represent themselves as anything more than they are and look like they are having fun while they're at it! I think tight ass Lauren maybe needs to take a page out of Speidi's tabloid mag!

    

Stars were on hand yesterday for the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric Aids Foundation for the A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival.  Now, I'm not taking anything away from the stars for showing their support or the charity itself, but can we just back it up a moment and take a look at these outfits. I have a theory that all that sun they get in California fries their brains and judging by these clothes, I think I'm right.  Mischa Barton rolled up in a ruffled dress with a freakin boot strap on her head and a pair of unshaved arm pits. Hot.  Marcia Cross went as Pipi Longstockings and David Arquette stuck with the carnival theme with his purple hoodie and clown-red pants.  The girls from The Hills fared a little better although I'm not exactly sure what Heidi's motivation was with the scarf that was longer than her shorts. 
Anyways, I can't hate on them too much since they were there for a good cause, however their clothes are definitely fair game...not too mention, they probably could have taken the thousands of dollars they wasted on that hideous shit and put it towards something useful, like the Elizabeth Glazer Foundation, but that's just crazy talk!

      

We spotted super couple Heidi and Spencer leaving the Hurley manufacturing warehouse in Orange County, California with oodles of gear.  Heidi graces the cover of US Weekly this week holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a wedding veil under the headline of "I'm Ready to Say I Do!".  Do you think Speidi are really ready this time to tie the knot?!

    

Is there anywhere these two aren't these days??  Heidi and Spencer were in the Big Apple yesterday to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman; Dave must be running out of guests...

    

All of the MTV favorites, plus Lindsay Lohan (cuz she'll do whatever these days) came out for the premiere of Scarlet.  Scarlet is not a new movie and it's not a new tv show, but rather a new line of HD and LCD televisions by LG Electronics. Oh well, anything to walk the red carpet, right?

        

The 94th annual White House Correspondents Dinner took place over the weekend and everyone from Ashlee Simpson to Pam Anderson were on hand to bring politics and the media together in one, weird mash up.  Presided over by President Bush and hosted by Craig Ferguson, our favorites from The Hills, Heidi, Spencer and Lauren all showed as well as The Jonas Brothers (who were totally the most popular guests) and Gossip boy Ed Westwick and The Soup host, Joel McHale. Dubyah Bush and Spencer Pratt in the same room?  The world may be coming to an end...

        

Check out what Spencer asked our photographers for as he and Heidi were seated in the back seat of a Rolls Royce. Having always wanted to pull this stunt myself, I give Spencer props for seeming funny for like half a second. 

Heidi has had a whirlwind tour through NYC.  First she made an appearance on TRL, even rapping with Nelly and then spent 5 hours (!) shopping at Barneys!  All this and a new clothing line too, looks like Lauren's nemesis ain't doin' too bad for herself.  Meanwhile, boyfriend Spencer trails behind...guess he's parlaying his reality tv skills into becoming Heidi's bag boy. 

    

Two words for these pictures; loves. it.  Hills star Heidi launched her own clothing line over the weekend, and guess what she named it? Heidiwood!  Suck on that Lauren!!!  Heidi along with her precious boyfriend Spencer celebrated the release of eight outfits from the line, modeled at the Hollywood and Highland Center in California while Heidi's songs from her new album were played in the background.  The clothes, which dare I say seemed just a smidge hookery, will be sold at Anchor Blue and will be relatively low-cost.
