There's nuthin' like a good dub date, especially when one half of that foursome happens to be very high profile at the moment.  We spotted Jennifer Aniston in the back seat of Courtney Cox's sweet whip last night en route to dinner at STK restaurant in Los Angeles; the ladies then met up with John Mayer and David Arquette. This night sounds like a pretty glamorous time to me, to quote George Costanza "they're like the Gatsbys!".

     

It kind of looks like John Mayer's backpack is trying to eat his head.  We spotted the singer returning to his Beverly Hills home yesterday, but apparently he wasn't feeling the pap as he tried to hide behind his gear.  Why so shy John, did Pete give you a lil love bite on your neck???

   

Well, this is an interesting little hang out sesh we stumbled upon! Pete Wentz was caught spending some time with new bf John Mayer at John's West Hollywood home yesterday.  The tattooed lover-friends (is this a new trend?) were peering out the window and John was taking some pictures with a very long lens...oooook. 

John wrote a pretty gushy post on his blog about his friend, saying, "You’re one of the best eggs in the music industry, hands down. With as much talent as you have, I’d expect you’d have some eccentric ego, but from what I can tell you seem to have none. (That actually makes you more talented, by way of some crazy cosmic arithmetic.) Every time we get the chance to hang I’m inspired by your creativity."

 AAWWWW.  Let the great bromance begin!

    

Or at least they attempted to.  We caught Jen and John in Beverly Hills yesterday on their way to visit Courtney Cox.  Anyone want to place bets on how long this romance will last?  For Jennifer Aniston's sake, I hope that this one works out and isn't just a flash in the pan; girl needs a break in the romance department, she's been through the ringer!

    

We spotted John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston putting some time in at the Waverly Inn last night before making stops at Hudson Bar and Books in New York City.  Despite trying not to he photographed together, the two recently took their relationship public when John went down to Miami to visit Jen on the set of Marley and Me. 

John Mayer tends to run hot and cold with the media; one minute hamming it up, talking about his new haircut and cracking jokes, the other he is running the other way.  Yesterday we spotted John In New York City and he definitely was not feeling the spotlight. In addition to his new feathered hair, he has been receiving a lot of buzz due to his new romance with Jennifer Aniston.  How long will this fling last, well that's hard to say, but either way they've taken it public and now we can just sit back and watch!

    

Is John Mayer thinking about becoming a photog?  We spotted the singer checking out cameras at B&H in New York yesterday.  John already has a blog that he regularly updates, perhaps he's looking to do some celeb scoping of his own.

     

John Mayer has yet another reason to be surrounded by cameras this week; he feathered his hair.  After already receiving endless questions about his supposed romance with Jennifer Aniston, John has now made himself the center of attention yet again by going and getting a Michael J. Fox hair cut.  John spoke about his desire for rad 80s 'do on his blog. 
[I want] to grow and maintain an authentic ’80s style feathered haircut...it’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time.  The feathered cut projects an attitude of ease and quiet confidence that seems to have all but eluded our generation. And as my hair grows longer it will serve to become a more stirring and poignant statement.”
That's a beautiful dream John, I'm glad you have realized it.  Which cut do you think looks better on John?

 

John Mayer doesn't need anyone to carry his sh**! We spotted John loading an amp into the back of a car this afternoon in New York City and then later heading into a personal gym.  On the way out, John dogged questions about his supposed relationship with Jennifer Aniston.  Well if it's true or not, I hope they're having fun!

      

Cameron Diaz's ex-boyfriends, Justin Timberlake and John Mayer, came out to show their support at a memorial service yesterday in honor of Cameron's late father Emilio.  Emilio Diaz, only 58,  died suddenly last week of pneumonia and yesterday the Diaz family had a "celebration of life" at Mahe in Los Angeles to honor him.  Guests did not dress in drab black, but rather wore brightly colored attire and gave toasts to honor their friend and relative.  Cameron issued a statement saying "His humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."
