You know, just something simple to celebrate their new Beverly Hills compound.  Tom and Katie welcomed the likes of Oprah, JLo, Eva Longoria, Kirstie Allie, Victoria Beckham and Brooke Shields.  The power couple, dressed in matching white outfits, welcomed guests to their sprawling estate to mark their triumphant return to Hollywood!  The gorgeous property is valued at 35 million!!! Damn Tom, you mind if I steal a closet or two?

        

Seriously, it looks like Joey Potter is about to eat my soul.  I'm not sure why Katie's haircut makes me so uncomfortable, perhaps its the fact that she shares the style with her 2-year-old daughter (maybe it's the Tom-approved 'do), but I don't like it.  I also do not understand why people keep hiring her to act in things, such as the Arthur Miller play All My Sons, which will open on Broadway in a few months.  If I got tickets to that play, I'd bring some holy water!

    

This Sunday is Mother's Day, the day we take each year to recognize the special lady who helped to show us the ways of life.  When we think of Hollywood moms the first person who comes to mind is Angelina Jolie.  With three adopted children, one biological and one (maybe two) more on the way, Angelina has wowed us all with her ability to be a great mother while at the same time being a Goodwill Ambassador and making movies.  Of course there are other great moms we see in action all the time, Posh, Gwen, Jennifer Garner and Heidi Klum are all often seen having a great time with their little ones.
So this Sunday don't forget your mom, who is a star in her own right, especially for putting up with you for all these years!  And speaking of being abundantly tolerant, I would like to give a special shout out to my own mom for being such a great person; Happy Mother's Day Mimi!

As part of TomKat's Manhattan vacation, they took little Suri in a big helicopter ride around the city yesterday.  My favorite 2-year-old was wrapped up in a blanket as Tom and Katie loaded her onto the chopper.  What's with all these kids taking helicopter rides?!  First Zahara, then Suri, jeez...to be a toddler in Hollywood is a sweet gig.

     

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri hit Manhattan this weekend for a lil' family jaunt before Tom and Suri's appearance on Oprah tomorrow. Apparently Tom will recreate his famous couch-jumping moment, and Suri makes an appearance at the end of the show. In NYC, Tom and Katie left Suri at the hotel and went to see The Country Girl - with Morgan Freeman and Frances McDormand - at the Jacobs Theatre. Then they dinner with pal Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica at Orso.

How did Katie Holmes celebrate St. Paddy's day?  By grabbing lunch at Joan's On Third. Katie was seen leaving the popular Los Angeles eatery yesterday, but by the expression on her face, she looks like she's about to spit her lunch out, albeit gracefully.

The celebs came out last night for perhaps the fanciest event of New York Fashion Week, A Night To Benefit Raising Malawi and Unicef, held at the United Nations Plaza.  The event, hosted by Madonna and Gucci really had the stars bringing their A-game.  It was a family affair as both a HUGELY pregnant J.Lo and a discreetly pregnant Gwen walked the red carpet.  Madonna brought her daughter Lourdes as her date.  Katie and Tom didn't have Suri with them, which maybe accounts for why Katie looks like a deer caught in he

King Scientology and Queen Bug Eyes were spotted leaving their NYC hotel last night and going out to dinner at Sfogalia on the upper east side.  They left little Suri-bot at home, which is a shame because she is the only good thing about their union.  Seriously Katie Holmes, can we just cool it with the sunglasses!  Why are they so big?! Do flash bulbs give you cataracts? Honestly that dead pan, half smile look she's giving the camera is really freaking me out.  I can't even focus on Tom.
